Experts and scholars gather in Changsha to discuss how spectral technology empowers industrial upgrading

Recently, the sub venue of the 2025 Hunan Association for Science and Technology Annual Conference, the "Mutual Drive, Integration, and Innovation Leading the Future" Hunan Spectral Conference, was held in Changsha. At the meeting, nearly 200 experts, scholars, enterprise representatives, and research institution leaders from the fields of spectral technology research, application, and instrument equipment manufacturing across the country gathered together to exchange and discuss about spectral technology innovation and deep integration of industries, jointly drawing up a new blueprint for Hunan's spectral technology to empower the development of the "4 × 4" modern industrial system.  

It is reported that this conference is one of the important thematic academic activities of the 2025 Hunan Association for Science and Technology Annual Meeting. It closely follows the theme of "deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation", focuses on the supporting role of spectral technology in key fields such as high-end manufacturing, environmental monitoring, biomedicine, geology and mineral resources, accelerates the transformation and landing of scientific research achievements, builds a closely coordinated industry university research innovation ecology, and injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of related industries in Hunan Province and even the whole country.  

The conference specially invited 24 well-known experts in the industry to give special reports on the cutting-edge progress of spectral technology, solutions to industry pain points, and future development trends, providing solid intellectual support and scientific strategic guidance for the innovation of spectral technology and the high-quality development of the industry.

For heavy metal pollution, inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy can be used, and a fully automatic heavy metal analysis system can be used. Through fully automatic workstation software and intelligent sampling system, sample digestion to sample analysis can be completed in one click. Compared with traditional chemical colorimetric+spectrophotometric methods, it has the characteristics of" faster, more accurate, and more complete ".

In addition to updating the testing methods, Li Chunhua, the person in charge of laboratory information construction at Changsha Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Testing Technology Co., Ltd., also introduced her practice and application of using LIMS technology to empower third-party laboratory testing processes.  

During the conference, Beijing Puxi General Instrument Co., Ltd. signed two industry university research cooperation agreements with Changsha Qiulong Instrument Equipment Co., Ltd., Chenzhou Zhongxin Testing Co., Ltd., and Hunan Jinrongyuan Instrument Equipment Co., Ltd. The implementation of these two collaborations has built an efficient bridge for spectral technology to move from the laboratory to the market, marking a substantial step forward in industrial collaborative innovation. In addition, the attending representatives also visited the laboratory of Changsha Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Testing Technology Co., Ltd. to experience its profound research and development capabilities in the fields of mining and metallurgy material testing, new material characterization, battery material evaluation, etc. up close. The conference is jointly hosted by the Hunan Association for Science and Technology and the Hunan Precision Instrument Testing Society, and jointly organized by the Office for Promoting the Artificial Intelligence and Sensor (including Inspection and Testing) Industry Chain in Hunan
